75mm Hospitalier

Hi!

First I want to wish you all a Happy new year! This 75mm knight from Romeo Models is one of the figures I have worked on lately. It was a really challenge for me to try my hands at painting a worn out red color on his tunic. Red is a very dramatic color for any figure but I felt that it was very difficult to get the result I wanted. It is nearly finished by now but the shield and some touchup´s are still required.

Regards!

90mm mountedTemplar knight..

Hi! Finally I finished this 90 mm mounted knight from Romeo models. It has taken me almost two and a half year to complete this complicated kit. A big piece like this must in my opinion be one of the trickiest builds to complete  you have to think twice and planning the work very thoughly to achive a good end result. I must confess that I am really satisfied with the finished figure. I hope that you like it as well.

The Undertaker.

Hi! Finally this little bust is almost finished and as always there are some details that could be improved but I will wait a couple of weeks and take a closer look at it then. I´ve decided to go with the undertaker theme on this kit as I found it to be the most suitable for this model. This must definitly be my fastest painted figure ever I. It was finished in a week wich is very fast by my ordinary standard. I hope that you appriciate the finished figure.

söndag 30 september 2012

Hi again! Last weekend I was attending the great modelling show Euromilitaire and it was a great experience as always meeting new and old friends. I recived a higly commended in the bust class and  a comended in the class for comercial figures over 65mm. I also bought alot of new figures and this figure was one of them. It is from the producer Robert Chaudon and the scale is 1/8. I really like the characther in his face so I just had to start this wonderful figure. There are no explanation to what characther the figure portrays. But I consider to paint him as a undertaker during the western era or maybe a freaky circus manager of some kind. I started painting this figure today (Sunday) and this is how far I have reached by now.

Regards!

Swedish peasant soldier 16th-century

Hi! I thought it was time for an update on this blog because a lot of time has gone since I presented something new here.

I´ve got this figure at the last World expo in Montreux last year. It is a limited edition from Pegaso sculpted by the talented Andrea Jula. The orginal figure portrays the famous story of Wilhelm Tell and his son after he has shoot an apple on his son´s head. I decided to convert the kit to represent a rebellian peasant soldier wich is welcomned by his son while he is coming home. The scene takes place in the southern part of Sweden during the uprisal against the king Gustav Wasa in the 16th-century when a peasant army fought against german Lanskecht´s wich had been hired by the swedish king. Those mercinaries suffered big losses because they were illsuited for this kind of warfare.

90 mm Templar horse

Some time has past since I posted something new on this blog due to other commitments. So here are the last update on this blog for the year of 2011.

The figure are produced by Romeo models and was sculpted by Victor Konnov. This model was very complicated, both the assembly as well  as the painting process. I have worked on this project on and of for merely two years and finally I begin to see the end of the painting of the horse. The model are painted using both oil colors and acrylics. The skull on the base comes from Andrea miniatures and his helmet are a sparepart from a Pegaso kit, I thought that the atmosphere would be more dramatic with this addition to the base. There will be more updates on this when I have come even further with the building and painting of the figure wich will sit on top of the horse. I hope that you like it!

I wish you all a happy new year!
